It's around 1.30am, the world is quiet, most are sleeping, the days chaos long forgotten. I'm still working. Creating, tweaking and doing what I do. It's so easy for me to get lost in the moment, so I guess I'm doing what I'm meant to. I choose to keep the light low, the flicker of my computer screen is my main source of light and there are gadgets everywhere. I do love a good gadget. Somewhere between necessity and passion I build another section to another track, digressing sometimes to the point where I've written a completely new part or song. That's what I love about music. It's when I get the chance to totally live and breath the stuff.
.... but I digress, there's work to be done.
More about lann
I was Born in Southport and raised on the Gold Coast so I always loved the water, if I wasn't surfing I was out in my tinnie. My passion for music was always there, I remember making a guitar from a ruler, rubber bands and a plastic battery tray from dads work. I was really little. I also made a whole drum kit from cushions and mums pots and pans. Lids were the cymbals. I learnt to play the guitar by watching and learning from friends at school and just having a go at it. Mum and Dad bought me my first guitar, an electric one from Kmart for christmas and an old amp from a family friend. Eventually we started a band with school mates, rehearsals were so much fun. I even left the beach early.
As far as singing, Lann had no idea he had a voice until the singer in the band couldn't make it to rehearsals.
Eventually Lann became a front man and ventured into all sorts of musical endeavours including rock bands, original bands and even cabaret.
